Hi there! We’re Mathijs and Viviane. Mathijs is a 40-something software engineer and Viviane is a paralegal in her mid-30s pursuing a Biology degree. We both share a passion for adventure. Travel and immersing ourselves in new cultures fuel our wanderlust. We’re also avid scuba divers!
The idea for this blog was born after we decided to take a sabbatical year, hence the name “The Sabbaticalists!” Here, we’ll share our journey leading up to and throughout our sabbatical adventure. We hope to inspire and empower others with similar dreams and aspirations.
